Location – Hinton House, Warrington or Albion House, Cumbria
Travel– Occasional site visit to Cumbria required
Hybrid working – Based out of the office 3 days per week and 2 days remote.
Arrangement– Contracted (Inside IR35) or Staffed
Salary– Dependent on experience

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferrable.
Supporting one of our key clients we are looking for Senior EC&I Engineer to support the site readiness Projects of a nuclear licensed site. This will involve providing mechanical assistance and managing activities so that processes are properly, adequately, and efficiently implemented across the project.
Responsibilities –
- Producing design deliverables for appraise
- Delivering EC&I design package – translating user requirements and technical specification into fully engineered, safe and legal design solution.
- Experience of Programmable Electronic Systems, safety design, machinery and functional safety and cybersecurity risk assessment.
- Demonstrable understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment where the client operates.
- Determining engineering requirements and provide underpinning for the validation and verification.
- Engaging other disciplines and stakeholders at key lifecycle points, including an awareness of basic project management fundamentals.
- Providing clear, confident presentation of relevant deliverables to all stakeholders attending single or multidiscipline design reviews as required by integrated assurance plan
Essential Qualifications –
- Minimum of either BTEC. HNC or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with extensive experience in design delivery.
Desirable experience –
- Experience in machinery safety (including BS EN 60204 and BS EN 13849) and functional safety (BS EN 61508 and BS EN 61511)
- Demonstrable experience on the design and implementation of waste management and encapsulation
Desirable Qualifications –
- Degree qualified in appropriate discipline
