To support the successful delivery of a major international project in a challenging environment, we are looking for an experienced Socio-Economic Manager (M/F). 

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the project's socio-economic development strategy, fostering sustainable relationships with local communities and ensuring that social investment initiatives support both community development objectives and project requirements. 

This position will be based abroad in a demanding and remote environment, with regular interaction with local communities, project teams and key stakeholders. 

Reporting to the Project Director, your main responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing the project's socio-economic development strategy.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities and key stakeholders.
• Supporting community development and social investment initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
• Managing stakeholder engagement activities and promoting positive community relations.
• Monitoring socio-economic programmes and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
• Managing budgets and resources related to community development initiatives.
• Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support sustainable project delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable project requirements and commitments related to socio-economic development.
• Providing regular reporting on socio-economic activities, programmes and performance.
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen community engagement and long-term project benefits.

• Degree in Social Sciences, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in social investment, community development or socio-economic programmes.
• Good understanding of compliance, benefits management, budgeting and financial principles.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience working in remote and challenging project environments.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management tools.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Hands-on, solution-oriented and adaptable mindset.
• Client-focused with a proactive approach.
• Fluent English required. French would be an advantage.
