About the role:
- Mentor and guide all site personnel to ensure a high standard of workplace health and safety on Site.
- Conduct site inspections/audits and provide feedback including associated recommendations to project personnel and corporate managers as necessary.
- Assess risks and opportunities for improving Safety Management.
- Assist Project Managers in managing workplace health and safety on project sites.
- Assist the Project Manager in the preparation, implementation and maintenance of systems, plans, procedures and strategies. and
- Ensure compliance with company, government, and client legislation, plans, standards, and specifications.
- Manage project-related Injury Rehabilitation and Return to Work issues.
- Report information accurately and promptly and contribute to developing solutions for relevant issues.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Diploma qualification in OHS or equivalent.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction in Safety roles.
- Previous experience leading teams or in a management role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current C-Class Driver’s License.
