Project Commercial Manager

The role:

The Project Commercial Manager is a key role in our project, the administration of accurate and up-to-date cost control reporting, supporting the contract and financial procedures for the project.

To be successful in this role, you will be highly experienced, confident and professional, skilled in your presentation manner and with excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

  • Report regularly on the financial, contractual and administrative status of the project.
  • Authorise cost transfers between cost centres, process accruals, and ensure costs are committed for the project.
  • Coordinate day-to-day commercial aspects of the site.
  • Evaluate, document, submit and negotiate notices of all delays.
  • Review subcontract agreements, including standard and special conditions relevant to specific trades.
  • In conjunction with the Project Manager, finalise subcontractor claims and procurement of contract value agreements.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to keep informed of all relevant aspects of the project and assist in daily problem-solving.
  • Ensure that all project insurances are in place and manage all notifications and claims.
  • Effectively adapt approaches in leadership style to address different situations and individual capability.

About you:  

  • Qualification in Accounting, CPA, or relevant project commercial experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Expertise in the current MS Suite.
  • Solid experience in construction or related industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team.
  • Able to engage with a wide variety of people and situations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse specific data.

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore, all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
