We’re seeking an experienced Senior Planner (Pre-Construction) to take the lead in shaping project planning across our Southern Region. Based in our Melbourne office on Queens Road, you’ll collaborate closely with project leadership and key stakeholders across VIC, SA, and TAS to drive planning excellence from concept through to delivery.

Are you confident in your ability to lead Pre-Construction planning for complex projects? In this role, you’ll develop and maintain Primavera P6 programs, provide cost and resource analysis, produce cash flow forecasts, and deliver schedule and risk insights. You’ll also contribute to tenders, mentor team members, and support projects with forensic program analysis to protect contractual rights. If you have the technical expertise, attention to detail, and collaborative mindset to make a real impact before construction even begins, we want to hear from you.

About the role:

  • Shape the Success of Major Projects – Play a critical role in optimising construction programs and claims processes, ensuring projects run smoothly and contractual rights are protected.
  • Lead with Primavera P6 Expertise – Apply your advanced programming skills to develop, analyse, and convert construction schedules, forecast cash flow, and run risk analysis that directly influences project outcomes.
  • Impact Across Pre-Contracts and On-Site Teams – Collaborate with both pre-contracts' teams and project delivery teams, helping to write tender programming sections, provide training, and support contractual claims.
  • Drive Innovation and Best Practice – Stay ahead with the latest industry standards, technology, and construction methodologies, contributing to smarter, more efficient project planning.
  • Grow and Collaborate in a Dynamic Environment – Work independently while being an integral part of a supportive team, building strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple projects and contracts.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction, Building, Sciences, Architecture or Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in civil construction – on-site and Pre-Contracts experience.
  • Advanced Primavera P6 skills. Proven experience in construction programmes.
  • Technical know-how, Lineal construction, contracts, claims, and strong IT skills.
  • Organised team player. Excels under pressure and builds strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
