Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Electrical Engineer to join our team on a high-profile 400kV substation EPC project in Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for a Saudi National with a strong academic background in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on high-voltage power systems or utility infrastructure. The selected candidate will be stationed on-site during the construction phase, supporting engineering and execution activities in remote and isolated project locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Nationality: Saudi (mandatory)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Specialization in Power Systems, High Voltage Engineering, or Utility Applications is highly preferred
- Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English (technical documentation and communication)
- Mobility: Willingness to work in remote site locations for extended periods during construction
⚡ Key Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing electrical designs, schematics, and single-line diagrams for 400kV substation systems
- Support the preparation and verification of technical documentation, including specifications, datasheets, and method statements
- Participate in site inspections, testing, and commissioning activities under supervision
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of electrical equipment and materials
- Collaborate with construction teams to monitor installation progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of engineering activities and contribute to progress reports
- Engage with client representatives, consultants, and vendors to resolve technical queries
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental protocols in remote site conditions
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of high-voltage equipment (e.g., GIS, transformers, circuit breakers, protection systems)
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, or SASO standards applicable to substation design and construction
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Resilience and adaptability to remote site environments
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a multidisciplinary engineering environment
