Job Title: Project Manager - International Resource & Events

Role purpose
This role will support Omexom’s strategic recruitment goals across both domestic and international markets. The position focuses on managing international recruitment initiatives, including visa support, onboarding global talent, and ensuring compliance with all sponsorship and immigration requirements. The role will also lead the planning and execution of recruitment fairs and targeted engagement events, helping to build robust talent pipelines and support long-term workforce planning. This is a dynamic role that blends project management, international HR coordination, and strategic event planning to attract and retain top-tier talent.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Collaborate with HR, Recruitment and Business Unit Teams to identify relevant recruitment fairs across all regions and ensure recruitment efforts are aligned with organisational needs and goals.
- Create a structured plan for recruitment fair attendance to ensure consistency in our approach.
- Plan, organise, and manage recruitment fairs from start to finish, ensuring smooth execution and proper coordination of participants, resources, and logistics.
- Select the most appropriate attendees for recruitment events, ensuring alignment with recruitment goals and target audiences.
- Collaborate with the Regional teams, our Business Units and relevant academic institutions to identify high-priority recruitment areas and target specific audiences for recruitment initiatives.
- Represent Omexom as at key recruitment fairs, showcasing our values, culture, and career opportunities to prospective candidates.
- Manage company merchandise for recruitment events to enhance the visibility and appeal of Omexom during recruitment fairs.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for recruitment-related events, including bookings for transportation, accommodation, and logistics for the team and event participants.
- Analyse the effectiveness of recruitment fairs and refine strategies accordingly.
- Support the sourcing and coordination of international recruitment processes and mobility of resource across the global Omexom network.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and recruitment teams to facilitate smooth onboarding of international candidates.
- Oversee all aspects of visa sponsorship, work permits, and immigration compliance for international hires.
- Manage sponsorship applications, liaise with relevant government bodies and immigration experts to ensure right to work compliance.
- Conduct thorough candidate right to work checks and ensure adherence to immigration regulations.
- Coordinate visa renewals, extensions, and related documentation for employees requiring sponsorship.
- Maintain accurate records of international hires and their legal documentation.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of immigration policies across relevant markets.
- Provide guidance on best practices for visa applications, work permits, and employment eligibility.
- Act as a point of contact for employees navigating visa processes.
- Provide ongoing support to international employees, ensuring they have access to resources and guidance throughout their tenure.
- Assist with relocation and socialisation support to international recruits when they commence employment.
- Provide additional administrative support regarding recruitment and resourcing as required.
Qualifications and experience
The jobholder must be a results focused self-starter with the enthusiasm, motivation and initiative to succeed in this role, possessing:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Event Management, or a related field.
- Project management experience, ideally in international recruitment or HR coordination.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of international HR policies, visa sponsorship, and immigration compliance.
- Proven experience in international recruitment, immigration processes, or workforce planning.
- Event planning expertise, including organising recruitment fairs and engagement events.
- Stakeholder management, working with global teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, essential for liaising with candidates, sponsors, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills, able to relate to staff at all levels.
