About Omexom

Omexom is a VINCI Energies brand delivering Transmission & Distribution services. We specialise in the design, supply, installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical infrastructure for a wide range of electricity utility companies and renewable energy developers across the UK and Ireland.

We are currently recruiting Graduate Design Engineers to join our Omexom Engineering Business Unit.

The Opportunity

As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will embark on a fast-track development programme aimed at building your career as a Protection & Control (P&C) Design Engineer. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team, contributing to projects that progress through to construction by our own Omexom team.

Your Role

The role will evolve as you develop within the team. You will support project delivery through the tender, design, and construction phases, and be involved in refurbishment, new build, and customer connection projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce Protection & Control (P&C) drawings: General Arrangement, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams

• Perform design analysis and prepare supporting documentation and calculations

• Participate in design forums within the wider Omexom engineering network

• Develop a strong understanding of industry standards, CDM regulations, and safety procedures

• Review method statements, risk assessments, and contribute to continuous process improvements

• Promote and enforce design best practices and compliance with internal procedures

What We're Looking For

Essential Criteria

• A BEng or BSc degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or relevant discipline

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering software

• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure

• Commercial awareness and ability to meet project deadlines

• Commitment to quality, safety, and customer-focused delivery

• A full UK driving licence (preferred)

Skills Profile

• High attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Enthusiasm for Protection & Control engineering

• Working toward professional registration (e.g. IEng or CEng)

• Ability to take ownership of design tasks from concept to implementation
