Graduate Quantity Surveyor Role – Develop Your Career in Infrastructure Projects

· Assist with the preparation of accurate cost estimates and budgets for Mechanical and Electrical projects.

· Support in the analysis of tender documents, project drawings, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements.

· Help maintain and update rate cards in line with market trends and company pricing strategies.

· Contribute to the drafting of client offer letters and tender submissions.

· Collaborate with internal departments (design, procurement, delivery) to compile essential data for commercial activities.

· Review supplier and subcontractor quotations to verify value and compliance.

· Provide commercial support during post-tender negotiations and project handovers.

· Assist in tracking and analysing historical cost data for continuous improvement of future bids.

· Implement Quantity Surveying principles to enhance commercial accuracy and minimise financial risk.

Required Skills and Qualifications – Entry-Level Quantity Surveying Careers

· Recently completed or soon to complete a Quantity Surveying degree or a related qualification (e.g., RICS, HNC/HND considered).

· Keen interest in the utilities, construction, mechanical and electrical sectors.

· Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.

· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork.

· IT literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating software is advantageous but not essential.

· Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

· Understanding, or an interest in developing knowledge, of UK electricity regulations and contract frameworks (such as NEC or JCT).
