The primary objective of this position is to administer accurate and up-to-date cost control reporting of the project, including recording, monitoring, and achieving project profitability, and to support the contract and financial procedures for the project.

About the role:

  • Support the project team to improve the commercial advantage of the project and maximise profitability.
  • Report regularly to the Project Manager on the financial, contractual and administrative status of the project.
  • Monitor and update detailed working budgets and authorise cost transfers between cost centres.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and monthly reports.
  • Co-ordinate day-to-day commercial aspects of site, including invoices and progress claims, subcontractor agreements, including standard and special conditions.
  • Evaluate, document, submit and negotiate notices of all delays, inclement weather, industrial, design, etc, which affect the financial and programmed completion of the project.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary Accounting Degree, CPA or 10+ years relevant project commercial experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team.
  • Confident and professional presentation skills.
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of people and situations.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse specific data.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore, all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
