ACTEMIUM Design UK, an award-winning engineering design firm is seeking a Requirements Engineer to join our team.

The role

Working on a key defence project, you will manage requirements across the full development cycle including:

• Requirements elicitation: Gather requirements from multiple sources and determine their applicability to a specific project
• Requirements definition: translating customer and user needs into clear, actionable, verifiable engineering requirements, define and document project goals
• Maintain context and structure: ensure requirements are complete and traceable and grouped for better organisation and clarity
• Verification and Validation: provide evidence based justifications to verify requirements of have been attained during the design phase and propose validation activities for subsequent manufacturing and testing phases
• Risk Management: Identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks related to requirements
• Substantiation & Traceability: Ensuring alignment with safety standards and maintaining traceability

What you’ll need

• Strong hands-on experience with requirements management tools
• The preferred candidate will have strong engineering design skills and the ability to assist the design team as well as oversee the management of project requirements
• The role will require initiative to gain a good understanding of the project and the ability to define the applicability of requirements with autonomy, requiring minimal input from others
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
• Degree-level qualification in engineering or equivalent industry experience
• Previous involvement in defence or other highly regulated/safety-critical sectors
