MISSIONS/SERVICE DIMENSIONS
The Service Holder is responsible, within the SURF Package Team and under the supervision of the SURF QA/QC Lead, for following-up, monitoring, coordinating and supervising QA/QC activities carried out by Contractors and Subcontractors during manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, testing, FAT, EFAT, SIT, preservation, logistics preparation, RFLO and load-out activities.
Acts as Company QA/QC inspector at fabrication yards, manufacturers, supplier facilities and logistics bases. Ensures compliance with Contract requirements, Company CR/GS, approved procedures, international standards and industry best practices.
Particular attention shall be given to PLETs, ILTs, flowline components, subsea structures, welding, NDT, coating, material traceability, MRBs, NCR management and load-out readiness.
ACTIVITIES
As QA/QC Inspector for the SURF package, the service holder shall:
· Promote Company Ethics, Code of Conduct and H3SEQ requirements.
· Verify implementation of Contractor Quality Plans, ITPs and Quality Management Systems.
· Participate in KOM, PIM and Quality Coordination Meetings.
· Perform routine and random inspections at fabrication yards and supplier facilities.
· Monitor fabrication activities related to SURF equipment including PLETs, ILTs, risers, flowline components and subsea structures.
· Witness inspection and test activities and verify hold points.
· Review material certificates, heat number traceability and material preservation.
· Verify WPS, PQR, WPQ and qualifications of welding personnel.
· Witness RT, UT, PAUT, TOFD, MT, PT and VT activities when required.
· Monitor coating and preservation activities.
· Participate in FAT, EFAT and SIT and verify closure of punch items.
· Participate in RFLO reviews and verify readiness for shipment.
· Monitor NCRs, concessions, deviations and CAPA implementation.
· Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations.
· Review MRBs, Quality Dossiers and Certification Packages.
· Interface with Third Party Inspection Agencies and Certification Bodies.
· Monitor logistics and load-out preparation from a quality perspective.
· Prepare surveillance reports and highlight quality risks to SURF QA/QC Lead.
CONTEXT & ENVIRONNENT
In October 2024, TotalEnergies announced the Final Investment Decision for the GranMorgu development on Block 58 in Suriname. This deep offshore oil project aims to develop nearly 700 million barrels of reserves, with the FPSO unit expected to start production in 2028. The multidisciplinary GranMorgu project team, managed by TotalEnergies E&P, coordinates development studies to optimize reserves, schedule, costs, and GHG emissions while maintaining high technical quality and H3SE standards. GranMorgu exemplifies TotalEnergies' transition strategy, focusing on economic and social impact on Suriname and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions.
As a flagship project for TotalEnergies, GranMorgu requires support to enhance its reputation and awareness.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas. Extensive experience in SURF and EPCI fabrication projects.
· Strong background in welding, NDT, coating, material traceability and vendor surveillance.
· Experience with PLETs, ILTs, risers, flowlines and subsea structures. Demonstrated experience with NCR, RCA, CAPA, MRB and Quality Dossier management.
· Knowledge of TotalEnergies GS EP specifications is highly desirable. CSWIP 3.1/3.2, NDT and Coating certifications preferred.
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
· Frequent missions to fabrication yards, and supplier facilities worldwide.
· Preferred certifications include CSWIP, NACE/AMPP, ISO 9001 Auditor and NDT qualifications.
· Mandatory training as per Company requirements.
