Exciting opportunity! We’re looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our offshore team, based in Nigeria.
Purpose of the Role
The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities on the FPSO, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures, standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance operations on site.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE rules, work permit systems, and waste management procedures.
- Support planning teams in preparing maintenance jobs and managing interventions through CMMS (SAP PM).
- Monitor the performance and reliability of equipment and utilities under responsibility.
- Identify and analyse recurrent maintenance issues and propose improvement actions.
- Ensure quality control of maintenance work and compliance with mechanical codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, OSHA).
- Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
- Prepare and validate maintenance reports and technical documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
- HND/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5–10 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance on oil & gas production facilities (FPSO experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of oil & gas process systems and related mechanical equipment.
- Proficient in SAP/R3 (PM module).
- Proven leadership and team management skills in a multicultural environment.
- Physically fit for offshore work (valid offshore medical and BOSIET required or in process).
- Fluent in English.
