Project Planner
Job Title: Project Planner
Reporting to: Planning Manager
Business Unit: GGP

Purpose of the Position:
The successful candidate will apply professional project management and will work to the highest Health and Safety standards, allowing Omexom to build and maintain a strong reputation for the safe, on time, and on cost delivery of projects to the clients’ exact specifications.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Including but not limited to the following:
- Addressing issues that arise and change plans accordingly
- Liaising with sub-contractors and suppliers to organise the phases of the construction development.
- Producing tender plans to support bids.
- Creating, maintaining, reviewing, and administering construction schedules and plans
- Liaising with the production and technical team
- Ensuring the progress of the project is running to time scales and cost plans.
- Using Primavera P6.
- Act as a role model for Omexom Company Values

Person Specification
Qualifications and experience
- Experience working on major projects within the energy sector, preferably in electricity Transmission or substations
- Proficiency within Primavera P6, experienced in resource and cost loading, generating Earned Value reports as well as graphic and tabular progress reports.
- Expert planning and scheduling knowledge.
- Ability to develop programmes from first principles as well as critical interrogation of suppliers’ programmes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of NEC3 and its application to the programme
- Good knowledge of CDM and its impact on the programme
- Accurate and concise report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team but also able to work alone.
- Good computer literacy in MS Office and MS Project, to include MS Excel: Table (look-up, filtering, data manipulation, and summarisation) and Excel Functions.
Desirable criteria
- Significant construction experience on major multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
