Project Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) F/H
7/24/2025Reporting hierarchically to the Project Director and functionally to the Sector Administrative and Financial Director, your main responsibilities will include:
- Organising and managing the project’s Administrative and Financial Department, ensuring coordination and follow-up.
- Carrying out quarterly and annual closings (invoicing, validation of earned revenue, control of accounting entries and analytical allocations) in accordance with local GAAP and IFRS, within the required deadlines.
- Responding to auditors’ requests and ensuring the reliability of all information provided.
- Managing multi-currency operations (EUR, USD, PGK) to ensure consistent monitoring in accounting, management, and treasury.
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of commitments for the project.
- Supervising budget control and variance analysis (internal progress statements vs. contractual situations).
- Monitoring invoicing, payments, and client reminders
- Preparing and analysing current and forecasted cash flow.
- Participating in quarterly budget updates.
- Ensuring compliance with Group policies, ethical standards, and internal control procedures.
- Acting as the key user for Group management tools and ensuring their proper use.
- Implementing company directives adapted to the specific project context.
With a higher education degree in finance or accounting, you have at least 10 years’ experience in a similar position.
You are proficient in IT tools and have an excellent command of accounting practices, particularly project budget control.
Adaptability, agility, rigor, autonomy, strong organizational skills, and responsiveness are essential qualities.
You also possess excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, particularly local ones.
Acting as the main point of contact between the project and Headquarters for all administrative and financial matters, you are comfortable operating in an international environment.
You enjoy working as part of a team and maintaining regular contact with your counterparts, even at a distance.
Fluency in both English and French is required, allowing you to read documents, draft written materials, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
