Project Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) F/H

Reporting hierarchically to the Project Director and functionally to the Regional Financial and Administrative Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

- Organizing and leading the administrative and financial management of the project;

- Carrying out quarterly and annual closings of the project entities, ensuring the reliability of all financial data: invoicing, validation of earned revenue, control of accounting entries, verification of analytical allocations, both under local standards and IFRS (for consolidation purposes), within the required deadlines;

- Responding to auditor inquiries;

- Managing the project across multiple currencies (EUR / USD and PGK), ensuring consistency between accounting, management, and cash reporting;

- Ensuring the completeness of project commitments;

- Identifying variances between budgetary rights and actual expenditures;

- Controlling internal reporting (e.g., work progress statements, discrepancies between internal and client reporting);

- Monitoring project invoicing, outstanding payments, cash receipts, and managing client reminders;

- Preparing reporting and analyzing current and forecasted cash flow;
Participating in quarterly budget updates for the project;

- Ensuring compliance with Group policies, ethics rules, and internal control procedures;

- Acting as the point of reference for Group management tools;

- Implementing company directives effectively.

Rattaché (e) hiérarchiquement au Directeur de projet, et fonctionnellement au RAF Secteur, vos principales missions sont les suivantes :

- Organiser et animer la Direction administrative et financière du projet,


- Réaliser les clôtures trimestrielles et annuelles des structures portant le projet en étant le garant de leur fiabilité : facturation, validation des recettes méritées, contrôle de la saisie des écritures comptables, vérification des imputations analytiques, ce aussi bien en norme locale qu’en IFRS (pour la consolidation), dans les délais impartis,


- Répondre aux questions des auditeurs,


- Gérer le projet en multidevises (EUR / USD et PGK pour garantir un suivi en comptabilité = gestion = trésorerie)


- Garantir l’exhaustivité des engagés sur le projet,


- Mettre en évidence des écarts de droit à dépenser et dépenses réelles,


- Assurer le contrôle des Situations Internes (situations de travaux, écarts SI/SA ),


- Suivre la facturation et les impayés du projet, les encaissements et la gestion des relances du client,


- Préparer le reporting et l’analyse de la trésorerie actuelle et prévisionnelle,


- Participer aux actualisations budgétaires trimestrielles du projet,

- Assurer le suivi du respect des règles Groupe, des règles éthiques et du contrôle interne,

- Etre le référent des outils de gestion Groupe,

- Mettre en application les directives de l’entreprise


You hold a higher education degree in finance/accounting and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position.


You are proficient in accounting principles and comfortable with digital tools and systems.

Essential qualities for success in this position include: agility, rigor, autonomy, strong organizational skills, and responsiveness.


Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also required, as you will interact regularly with various internal and external stakeholders.

As the main administrative and financial contact for the project and the head office, you ensure a reliable and transparent link between local operations and the central teams.

Desired profile:

You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+5)

You have at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial and administrative project management, ideally in the construction or infrastructure sector

You have solid accounting and cost control skills, especially for project budgeting and site operations


Soft skills:

You are autonomous, meticulous, proactive, versatile, and intellectually curious

You are adaptable and comfortable working in an international environment

You enjoy teamwork and maintaining regular contact with stakeholders, even remotely


Language requirements:


Fluency in English is essential, both written and spoken, to communicate effectively and understand project documentation.

De formation supérieure dans le domaine de la finance/comptabilité, vous justifiez d’une expérience de 5 ans minimum sur un poste similaire.

Vous maitrisez l’outil informatique et parfaitement les questions comptables.

Agilité, rigueur, autonomie, sens de l’organisation et réactivité sont des qualités essentielles pour réussir dans ce poste.

Vous avez également une excellent relationnel pour dialoguer avec vos différents interlocuteurs.

Vous êtes le point de contact principal du projet et de la maison-mère pour ce qui relève des aspects administratifs et financiers.

Profil recherché :

Vous détenez un diplôme de niveau bac+5 et disposez d’une expérience significative (minimum 3-5 ans) sur un poste équivalent. Vous avez de bonnes bases comptables et de gestion, notamment en contrôle budgétaire de chantier.

Savoir être :

Vous êtes autonome, rigoureux, proactif, polyvalent et curieux intellectuellement.

Vous êtes adaptable et à l’aise pour évoluer dans un environnement international.

Vous appréciez de travailler en équipe et d’avoir des contacts réguliers avec vos interlocuteurs, même à distance.

Compétences particulières :

Vous maîtrisez l’anglais pour pouvoir lire des documents, écrire et vous exprimer de manière fluide auprès de vos interlocuteurs.
