Freyssinet Australia is expanding! We’re building a newly created Major Projects Division, and this is your opportunity to take the lead as a Senior Estimator. In this role, you'll spearhead estimating for high-value remedial projects, playing a key role in securing major works. As the division grows, you'll have the opportunity to build and manage your own team of junior estimators.
The Role
As a Senior Estimator in our Major Projects Division, you will lead the preparation of tenders and cost estimates for complex remedial and civil projects. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate methodologies, costings, and programs, while working closely with our Business Development, Operations teams, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full tendering process for major remedial projects, from inception to submission.
 - Analyse tender documents to define project scope and obtain further details as required.
 - Develop detailed cost estimates and collaborate with BD & Operations to refine methodologies and programs.
 - Build strong relationships with clients throughout the tender process.
 - Track submissions, maintain records, and provide timely follow-ups.
 - Enhance tendering processes and drive improvements in quality standards.
 - Lead project handovers with the construction team.
 - Mentor and support junior estimators as the division grows.
About You - Experience: 5–15 years in estimating within Remedial, Civil, or Construction sectors.
 - Technical Expertise: Background in facades, concrete repair, blast & paint, structures, or remediation.
 - Leadership: Ability to step into a senior role and guide a growing team.
 - Skills: Strong communicator with proven problem-solving and conflict resolution ability.
 - Qualifications: Degree in Engineering or Construction (or equivalent).
 - Independence: Capable of managing multiple projects autonomously.
