Senior Control Engineer (Client Side)
31/10/2025Position – Senior Control Engineer
Location – Hinton House, Warrington
Hybrid working – 3 days in the office, 2 days remote
Arrangement – Contracted (Inside IR35) or Permanent
Salary – Dependent on experience

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable.
Senior Control Engineer will be required to deliver, co-ordinate and check Control based work packages across various systems on SEP1& 2
Essential experience for a Senior Control Engineer –
- Experience of PLC/SCADA control systems and network architecture
 - Ability to lead a team to archive challenging targets (No line management responsibility)
 - Ability to prioritise work scope in line with project demands
 - Experience of creating design specifications and providing support during implementation by addressing queries/issues
 - Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with a variety of stakeholders, including system integrators
 - Can review, understand and challenge control system requirements
 - Willingness to develop early career engineers to enhance their control systems knowledge
 
Desirable experience of a Senior Control Engineer –
- Preferred CEng/Ieng status or equivalent experience
 - Experience working with control system/ servo drive interfaces
 - Familiarity with production and checking of engineering drawings, and standards relevant to their production
 - Experience working with commissioning teams and use of fault rectification processes
 - Experience of creating design specifications and supporting implementation queries/issues
 - Experience in the production of design risk assessments, Instillation method statements, implementation work packs, supporting Quality Requirements and O&M documents.
 - Experience in the production of Technical Files and accompanying deliverables and familiar with the EHRs.
