Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile and detail-driven MEP Engineer to oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of Low Voltage Systems, HVAC, and Fire Fighting infrastructure for a 400kV substation EPC project in Saudi Arabia. This position is ideal for a Saudi National with a background in electrical or mechanical engineering, and experience or interest in building services and utility infrastructure. The role requires on-site presence during the construction phase, with assignments in remote and isolated project locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Nationality: Saudi (mandatory)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Specialization in Building Services, MEP Systems, or Industrial Facilities is preferred
- Language: Proficiency in Arabic and English
- Mobility: Willingness to work in remote site locations for extended periods during construction
⚡ Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design review, installation, and testing of:
- Low Voltage Systems (lighting, small power, earthing, cable trays)
- HVAC Systems (split units, ventilation, ducting, control panels)
- Fire Fighting Systems (piping, pumps, extinguishers, detection and alarm systems)
- Support the preparation of method statements, material submittals, and inspection requests
- Participate in site inspections, commissioning, and handover documentation
- Ensure compliance with local codes, utility standards, and international regulations (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC)
- Monitor quality, safety, and progress of MEP installations
- Maintain accurate records of engineering activities and contribute to progress reports
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of MEP systems in industrial or utility-scale facilities
- Familiarity with electrical low voltage design, HVAC load calculations, and fire protection layouts
- Knowledge of international standards (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, IEC, SASO)
- Strong coordination and communication skills across disciplines
- Ability to work effectively in remote site environments and under field conditions
- Commitment to safety, quality, and project timelines
