JOB DIMENSIONS
The Senior Analyzer and Metering Technicians are responsible for the installation, maintenance, safe operation, calibration and optimization of all online Analyzer and Metering systems for Angola LNG OpCo. The Senior Analyzer and Metering Technician is also responsible for training and mentoring of Analyzer and Metering Technicians and Trainees, update calibration reports, SAP notifications / WO, time reports, taking into account company policies, procedures; national and international regulations are followed, to ensure all the activities on the plant are delivered in safe and reliable manner.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of all online Analyzer and Metering systems. (These include, but are not limited to auxiliary equipment, local PLCs, Local Control Panels, gas and liquid sample conditioning techniques and custody transfer meters.) ensuring that operations runs smoothly and safely.
  • Responsible for fault diagnostics and repairs of all online Analyzer and Metering equipment in a safe manner in line with company procedures and practices in order to maintain overall integrity and reliability of all online Analyzer and Metering systems for Angola LNG facility.
  • Responsible for the routine calibrations and testing of all field metering equipment, analyzers & associated instrument to maintain all online analyzer and metering equipment and associated operational.
  • Review and predict routine maintenance, shutdown maintenance requirements for the facility. Communicate progress on tasks and objectives to Analyzer & Metering Team Lead on a regular basis.
  • Proactively participate in Angola LNG safety Processes; Incident and Injury Free Culture (i.e. ESE, STOP, JSAs, RCAs, SWA) to promote a safety culture and maintenance best practice.
  • Knowledgeable in cause & effects, criticality of online Analyzer and Metering equipment, understanding of Process.
  • Prepare & review maintenance procedures, loading procedures, critical spares, start-up spares, consumables, PM review.
  • Identify, recommend obsolete & bad actors to Analyzer & Metering Team Lead to avoid accidents and meet company targets.
  • Serve as a specialist on the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of complex or critical online Analyzer and Metering systems and associated equipment’s.
  • Reports equipment and required documentation changes in line with MOC procedures. Maintains calibration records, calibration gas certificates & other documents related to analyzer & metering equipment’s in safe custody.
  • Plans preventive maintenance activities and ensures an adequate supply of parts is on hand.
  • Diagnostics and repairs faulty complex or critical systems and equipment. Work with laboratory personnel in resolving any discrepancy in readings between analyzers & Lab ensuring that company targets are met.
  • Provide support for call out & weekly standby, train nationals, serves as coach for technicians & associates in knowledge transfer.

KEY INTERFACES

  • Develop and maintain good working relationship with stakeholders, typically the Instrument and Mechanical Departments, Operations Personnel, Facility Lab Personnel, Services support team, Maintenance Planners, Engineering, Key 3rd party contractors, Key Shareholder Company service providers, and others.

REQUIRED JOB PROFILE
Minimum competence level:

  • Proficient in Field Instrumentation
  • Compex certified
  • Functional Safety knowledge
  • Knowledge in process Analyzers
  • Computer Skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with & lead a team
  • Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs
  • Competent in Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Competent in Strategic vision, team oriented, profit driven, with a strong sense of operational working requirements.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years as maintenance Technician on a major onshore LNG, Refinery or petrochemical operating facility.
  • Familiar with applicable Industry Codes, Company’s Guidelines and Best Practices.
  • Previous LNG experience preferred.
  • Field Instrumentation online Analyzer and Metering systems Level
