MISSIONS/SERVICE DIMENSIONS

Working within a multi-project team the role is based on the GPS Platform. The role holder will be responsible for covering the rotating specialty discipline of all Galaxie project areas, including OSBL and BIOJET projects.

He will coordinate rotating erection works within a rotating team.

He will be responsible for ensuring quality assuring the successful handover to the commissioning team and participate to the commissioning sequences.

He will work closely with other members of the project team, refinery integration team, EPC Contractors and main Works Contractors and Fabricators/suppliers.

The role-holder will also ensure that the HSE standard of each projects composing the Galaxie Project is followed in coherence to the applicable standards. He will also ensure that methods and resources synergies are maximized across the four projects.

The role holder will be fully involved in all project phases from the construction up to the start up of the plant.

ACTIVITIES

· Coordinate the GALAXIE rotating topics and give support to project rotating specialist and supervisors by performing the following activities:

· Reviews the gaps between the TotalEnergies RC specification and specifications which will be applied on each project and prepares the derogation form if required

· Ensures the link and the interfaces between rotating, process, piping, instrumentation, and system

· Participates with Engineering contractors to the technical clarification with equipment suppliers if needed

· Controls that the engineering activities, construction works are aligned with forecasted schedule, and alerts Project management in case of slippage

· Supports and provides guidance to mechanical personnel on rotating topics

· Ensures that rotating specifications and documents (directives, rules, ...) are properly understood and enforced

· Defines with EPC contractors the ITP required to follow up rotating equipment construction

During Construction

· Ensures good quality and progress of construction for rotating equipment erection and connection

· Supports Construction Team activities with technical expertise in rotating discipline

· Amends, agrees or rejects all modifications of detailed studies that would be proposed by engineers and construction contractors

During Precom /Com

· Ensures that all rotating technical documentation is available to start the Precom/Com activities

· Validate construction work performed by mechanical contractors

· Validate together with mechanical contractors the ICAPS precom sheet

· Manage vendors, mechanical contractors to ensure the quality of the work and to obtain the green light for start up

· Participate in the rotating commissioning activities

During Star-Up

· Support rotating team with technical expertise to fix problems

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

The project consists of the conversion of GPS refinery to a zero-hydrocarbon refinery. It will cover the BIOJET and OSBL projects, Thus this role has the responsibility to ensure the coherence of all rotating topics as well as maximizing the synergies between the different GALAXIE projects.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accountable for the development of the GALAXIE project rotating activities:

· Support the rotating team to develop rotating expertise sharing with the different construction contractors which will be involved in the GALAXIE project.

· Verify the Engineering contractor design work quality on rotating equipment

· Verify with the project rotating team that the rotating specifications and procedures are strictly followed during construction by all people involved.

· Lead the Rotating expertise during studies and construction activities till validation of Ready for Start Up

· Ensure smooth rotating transfer between end of construction to commissioning.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

· Advanced relevant work experience, preferable in the Refining and Petrochemicals industry.

· Extensive rotating experience (10 years minimum)

· Experience supervising or managing rotating teams.

· Good level in English

· Demonstrate high ethical conduct in areas of procurement, contracts, evaluation of contractors and all other areas associated with procurement
