A proactive and technically skilled Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, inspection, and servicing of battery chargers and inverter systems. The role involves supervising a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to preventive maintenance schedules, and maintaining the reliability and safety of backup power systems across the facility.
Responsibilities
Supervisory Duties:
- Lead and coordinate a team of electrical technicians in executing maintenance tasks for battery chargers and inverter systems.
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities in line with manufacturer recommendations and operational needs.
- Review and approve maintenance checklists, service reports, and documentation logs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies.
- Provide technical guidance and training to technicians on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and system optimization.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for spare parts, technical support, and warranty claims.
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify maintenance quality and system performance.
- Support commissioning and testing of new installations and upgrades.
- Report maintenance KPIs, system health status, and improvement recommendations to management.
Technical Oversight:
- Inspect battery terminals for corrosion and ensure secure connections.
- Assess battery environments for cleanliness, ventilation, and safety compliance.
- Monitor electrical connections for signs of wear, loosening, or damage.
- Regularly inspect control panels for error codes, warning messages, and abnormal indicators.
- Ensure timely servicing of systems as per OEM guidelines.
- Oversee cleaning of air intake filters to prevent overheating and ensure airflow.
- Verify proper operation of cooling fans, checking for dust buildup, noise, or vibration.
- Supervise adjustment of drive parameters in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct visual inspections of wiring for exposed conductors or potential hazards.
- Confirm proper installation and secure mounting of panels and components.
- Ensure tightness checks are performed on all electrical terminals.
- Review and maintain detailed maintenance logs and site condition reports.
- Approve replacement of damaged components based on technical evaluation and manufacturer standards.
Profile
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of battery charger and inverter systems, DC power systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
