Job Title - Lead Electrical Design Engineer – Control Panel

Purpose of the Role

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and engineering of MCC, PCC, and control panels. The role involves ensuring design quality, adherence to standards, and timely delivery while guiding a team of engineers.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead design of MCC, PCC, and control panels as per project requirements

· Review electrical schematics, GA drawings, and BOMs

· Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE standards

· Coordinate with production, procurement, and quality teams

· Provide technical guidance to junior engineers

· Interact with clients for design approvals and clarifications

· Drive cost optimization and design standardization

· Support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning

Key Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

· Strong knowledge of MCC, PCC, and control panel design

· Expertise in schematics and power distribution systems

· Proficiency in AutoCAD / EPLAN

· Knowledge of protection systems and switchgear

· Familiarity with IEC / IS standards

Behavioral Skills

· Leadership and team handling

· Problem-solving ability

· Effective communication skills

· Attention to detail

· Ability to manage timelines and quality

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)

Experience

8–12 years in panel design, with at least 3 years in a lead role
