We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong hands-on expertise in industrial ecosystems, who can lead projects end-to-end, from opportunity discovery and solution design through execution, customer handover, and project sign-off. The role requires a balance of technical depth, customer engagement, and project leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers during the discovery phase: requirement gathering, solution mapping, technical discussions.
- Manage the complete project lifecycle - planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Lead cross-functional teams, internal engineers, and external vendors (Siemens, Cisco, Teltonika, Nozomi Networks, HPE Aruba, Moxa, etc.).
- Ensure seamless integration of industrial data handling, network connectivity, applications, and OT security solutions.
- Drive project delivery within scope, time, and budget while managing risks and escalations.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including SOW, as-built diagrams, SOPs, and training materials.
- Act as the primary customer interface, ensuring high satisfaction and smooth handovers.
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical Expertise:
- Industrial networking (Siemens, Cisco, Moxa, Teltonika).
- OT security platforms (Nozomi Networks or equivalent).
- Integration with MES, ERP, SCADA, IoT platforms (OPC-UA, MQTT, Profinet, Modbus, etc.).
- Project Management: Strong planning, scheduling, resource, and vendor management.
- Customer Engagement: Consultative approach with excellent communication & presentation skills.
- Leadership: Team coordination, mentoring, and conflict resolution in industrial environments.
- Certifications (Preferred): PMP/PRINCE2/Agile, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, OT Security (IEC 62443 awareness).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, IT, or related fields).
- 6–8 years of experience, with minimum 3–4 years in industrial field execution and 2–3 years in project management.
Job Description
1. Domain & Technical Expertise
Hands-on technical grounding is essential since the projects involve OT (Operational Technology), a bit of IT, and their integration. The candidate should have:
- Industrial Ecosystem Knowledge
- Strong familiarity with Pharmaceutical, Electronics Manufacturing, Automotive, F&B industries and their operational environments.
- Understanding of Industrial Automation systems (PLC, SCADA, MES, DCS).
- Knowledge of IT-OT convergence, especially how industrial networks, applications, and security interplay.
- Core Technologies
- Industrial Connectivity & Networking: Siemens Industrial Ethernet, Cisco Industrial switches/routers, Teltonika, Moxa devices.
- OT Security: Experience with Nozomi Networks or equivalent OT monitoring/security platforms.
- Industrial Data Handling: Working knowledge of protocols like OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus TCP/IP, Profinet, etc.
- Integration Expertise: Hands-on exposure to integrating industrial applications (MES, ERP, Data Lakes, IoT platforms).
- Cloud & Edge: Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, Siemens MindSphere) and edge computing.
- Certifications (preferred, not mandatory)
- Networking & Security: Cisco CCNP/CCIE, HPE Aruba certifications.
- Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum Master, SAFe).
- Cybersecurity: IEC 62443 awareness, CISSP, or OT security training.
2. Customer Engagement & Opportunity Discovery Skills
At the early stage of projects, the candidate should be able to translate customer pain points into solutions:
- Consultative Selling Support: Work with sales/pre-sales teams to engage customers during solution discovery.
- Requirement Analysis: Extract technical & business requirements through engagements and site visits.
- Solution Mapping: Match customer needs with Siemens/Cisco/Teltonika/Nozomi/HPE Aruba/Moxa offerings.
- Presentation & Communication: Ability to simplify technical concepts for both engineers and business stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Management: Build trust with plant managers, IT and OT heads, OT engineers, and CXOs.
3. Project Management Skills (End-to-End Lifecycle)
The candidate should be able to drive the entire project lifecycle:
- Planning & Scoping
- Project charters, SOW (Scope of Work), effort estimation, resource planning.
- Risk analysis and mitigation planning (especially around production downtime in industrial environments).
- Execution & Coordination
- Coordinate cross-functional teams: internal engineers, OEM partners, subcontractors.
- Monitor progress using tools (MS Project, Jira, Primavera).
- Handle site execution challenges (downtime scheduling, safety compliance, vendor coordination).
- Resource & Vendor Management
- Manage partner resources (e.g., Siemens/Cisco support engineers).
- Balance workloads across internal technical teams.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs and quality standards.
- Financial & Commercial Management
- Budget tracking, invoicing, cost optimization.

- Testing & validation (FAT, SAT, UAT).
- Documentation (as-built diagrams, configuration backups, SOPs).
- Customer training & knowledge transfer.
- Sign-off, feedback collection, success story documentation.
4. People & Leadership Skills
Since the candidate will be leading both technical execution and customer-facing engagement, they must be adept at:
- Team Leadership: Lead engineers and field technicians, guide them through complex technical deployments.
- Mentoring & Training: Help less-experienced engineers grow in OT, networking, and project management.
- Conflict Resolution: Handle escalations between customers, internal teams, and vendors.

5. Soft Skills & Behavioral Traits
- Strong problem-solving mindset (critical in industrial ecosystems where downtime = high losses).
- Excellent written and verbal communication (for proposals, reports, and presentations).
- Adaptability: Ability to work in diverse industrial setups, adjusting to site constraints.
- Resilience: Ability to manage stress and high-pressure situations, especially during production cutovers.
6. Experience Requirement
- 6–8 years of relevant experience with at least:
- 3–4 years of hands-on technical fieldwork in industrial connectivity, OT systems, or security.
- 2–3 years of project management experience, preferably leading multi-vendor industrial projects.
