đź’ĽLeonard is VINCI's platform dedicated to innovation and foresight. Created to invent and serve the future of the Group's businesses, Leonard's mission is to:
- monitor emerging trends in VINCI's businesses and markets,
- identify long-term issues and identify opportunities for change in the Group's business lines and organization, as well as its new growth drivers. Leonard will then design and coordinate innovative group-wide programs gathering several entities of the Group to help position itself into the future
- develop incubation and acceleration programs for innovative projects, open to Group’s employees and start-ups.
One of the Leonard Programs is fully dedicated to leverage the AI technology to further develop VINCI’s activities. Since 3 years, the program, consisting in a 6 months incubation, delivered 75 projects which are all industrialized worldwide (Canada, UK, Portugal, Germany, Spain, Austria, France). Some of them were even turned into a new business unit. VINCI’s activities are wide leading to a full range of interesting projects such as follows:
- Using generative design to optimize fire extinguishing systems
- Using computer vision and drones to detect misalignment in large conveyor belts
- Using NLP to process large technical documentation leading to a variety of new tools dedicated to productivity
- Using time series to detect failures in advance for Offshore windfarms’ generators or even to predict the track geometry for high-speed trains
Leonard is looking for a Data scientist to help developing a project. Attached to the Head of AI Program at Leonard.
🎯 Main missions:
1. Datascientist:
- Understand all the projects incubated: business, technology etc. to be an ambassador
- Follow one specific project implemented in the program
- Train and fine-tune machine learning and AI models involving NLP, Computer Vision, Time series, Clustering, etc.
- Select machine learning and AI models for predictive maintenance, marketing recommendation, generative design, risk model, pricing, etc.
- Build decision-making models and propose solutions for business problems
- Conduct written and verbal presentations to share insights and recommendations to broad range of audiences varying from operational team to c-suite members
- Participate to the development of the data science practice with the group
2. Tech partnership:
- Help animating a scientific partnership (Hi!Paris, SCAI etc.) in order to be able later to animate a scientific community composed of PhDs
- Participation in Hackathon, summerschool, databootcamp, capstones
3. AI community
- Coordinate the AI tech community that is emerging within VINCI
- Organise several events for the communities
You’ll help Leonard developing impactful AI projects and coordinate the emerging AI community worldwide.
- Autonomous, creative, interested in VINCI's businesses, innovation and new technologies
- Strong work capacity
- Diplomat and dynamic, able to interact with top managers
- Ability to speak publicly and value Leonard's activities
- Excellent sense and relational ease
- Master’s degree quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics or econometrics, economics, physics or any related field)
- Knowledge in machine learning and statistical learning
- Skills in Python, SQL or related
- Overall knowledge of the data science domains (e.g. [un]supervised learning, explainable artificial intelligence, econometrics, deep learning, Natural Language Processing, time series forecasting, computer vision, deployment and/or optimization)
- Entrepreneurial, curious and innovation-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English in addition to your mother tongue
