The Role

To support the ASTI Business Unit and Project Planner in the successful delivery of projects for blue-chip clients through effective programme management techniques and support to the Project Management Organisation (PMO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Planner in the production and maintenance of tender and delivery programmes.

  • Update programmes at the required frequency and provide PMO with realistic and accurate forecast programmes.

  • Support PMO with the development, control, monitoring, analysis, and reporting on schedule-related aspects for designated projects within a Portfolio.

  • Monitor a cost and resource-loaded, logic-linked baseline plan for the project in accordance with Programme Office processes.

  • Interface with other departments regarding project activities which may have an impact and ensure these are correctly captured.

Essential Criteria

  • Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders (internal and external).

  • Commercially focused self-starter with enthusiasm, motivation, and initiative.

  • Working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety legislation.

  • Awareness of Planning Methodologies / Software.

  • High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills.

  • Excellent MS Office skills, proficient in preparing reports and information using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong awareness of the level of interaction required with the project team to support successful project delivery.

  • Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills for working in a team environment.

  • Attention to detail with strong time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Desirable

  • Awareness of Planning Methodologies / Software.

  • Awareness of NEC3/4 contracts, particularly programme deliverables and requirements.

  • Awareness of DCMA Assessment Criteria, Acumen Fuse, etc.

  • Relevant industry experience.

General Information

  • Position is preferably based in Inverness / Highlands Region, but offices in Perth or Glasgow are available.

  • Travel to site and attendance at project progress meetings as required throughout Scotland.

  • Salary and benefits will be on a Personal Contract basis and commensurate with a position at this level, dependent on experience.
