Job Title: DST Supervisor
Sector: Oil & Gas
Location: Paramaribo, Suriname
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Duration: 12–24 months (renewable)
Work Scheme: rotational 4/4 (4 weeks on/4 weeks off), based on seven (7) worked days per week, with eight (8) hours of work per day
Language: English (fluent)

Mission Context
The client seeks technical assistance services for a DST Supervisor to support Drill Stem Test preparation and execution. The role is focused on supervising field operations, ensuring technical readiness, monitoring performance, and acting as the operational link between offshore teams, service providers, and the onshore engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise DST preparation and execution both offshore and at service provider locations.
  • Ensure readiness of DST design and identify/report potential operational issues.
  • Execute the DST program and ensure compliance with expected procedures.
  • Report deviations to the DST Completion Engineer and Drilling & Completion Superintendent.
  • Monitor DST performance and contribute to optimization and lessons learned.
  • Support preparation of close‑out documentation (DST section of EOWRs).
  • Coordinate activities of DST services and equipment providers.
  • Act as an interface between field execution teams and the DST Completion Engineer.
  • Mentor junior DST supervisors when present onboard.
  • Work closely with HQ reservoir engineering representatives when required.
  • Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and always promote safe operations.

Specific Activities

  • Coordinate the work of DST services and DST equipment providers offshore
  • Be a link between DCSSV and DST Completion Engineer
  • Mentor junior DST supervisors when this position is present onboard the rig
  • Work in cooperation with TE HQ reservoir engineer offshore

HSE Responsibilities

  • Cascade Department HSE objectives; ensure completion/workover operations conducted in compliance with existing rules, safety and environmental protection, optimization of costs and time 
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company QHSE standards. Prepare derogations accordingly


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Experienced in Contractor supervision offshore
  • Experience in DST offshore
  • Engineering or bachelor’s degree
  • 2 years’ experience in DST or Completion
  • IWCF Level 4, BOSIET
  • Experienced in DH and EH SSTT
  • 5 years’ experience in deep water operation
  • Experienced as offshore supervisor
